  1. Sudden onset of symptoms – complaints come on quickly, often after a shock, fright, or exposure to cold wind.

  2. Fear and anxiety – intense restlessness, fear of death, panic attacks, predicts the time of death.

  3. Shock and trauma – both physical and emotional, especially after accidents or fright.

  4. High fevers – sudden, violent onset with dry, burning heat and great restlessness.

  5. Thirst for cold water – especially during fever.

  6. Exposure to cold, dry wind – ailments arising after being out in cold, dry weather.

  7. Pains – sudden, violent, cutting or burning pains, often with numbness or tingling.
